How Web3 Superapp Mass Brought Stocks On-Chain with Dinari

Fintech

Mass is a DeFi mobile app that allows you to swap assets across multiple chains, on- and off-ramp into DeFi, and trade using leverage. The company offers its customers a unified interface for managing on-chain portfolios that include crypto, real-world assets, and stablecoins. Our partnership enables Mass users to diversify into U.S. stocks and ETFs without ever leaving the app or their Web3 ecosystem.

"We’ve seen double-digit growth in our user base every week, and all our users are more than happy with the product we offer."
Rudy Kadoch
Co-Founder & CEO

Challenge

Mass was looking for a way to seamlessly and securely offer U.S. assets to customers via their web3-native interface. Key considerations included user experience, security, and compliance.

Solution

Mass integrated with Dinari using a web3 native integration, which offers partners the ability to interact with Dinari directly via smart contract. Fee data is fed via a traditional API endpoint.

Integration Diagram

Mass has customers in multiple regions, and of primary importance were strong controls over tokenized equities, and a compatible approach to regulatory compliance requirements.

Dinari’s dShares operate under a U.S. Regulation S safe harbor exemption, and Dinari backs all assets 1:1 in a third-party brokerage account through a bankruptcy-protected entity. Our team walked Mass through our financial controls processes, as well as our internal “Know Your Business” and anti-money laundering policies and controls.

“We talked to a lot of people working on the same thing as Dinari, but we didn’t achieve anything with them. The integration was really smooth and our customers are happy!” Rudy Kadoch - Co-Founder & CEO

User experience was another mission critical aspect of the integration. Mass wanted to ensure that users wouldn’t have to go through any complicated or extra processes to access dShares. Dinari integrations are designed with seamlessness in mind: As far as user experience goes, dShares are simply part of the experience of trading with Mass.

“This is just the first iteration, Mass will always be the best mobile app to trade tokenized stocks and the most agile, dynamic partner for Dinari. Onwards!”

Conclusion

The model Mass chose is what we would call a “distributor” integration, meaning that Mass customers, who already go through Mass’ “Know Your Customer” process, can interact directly with Dinari through their wallet. This solution best served Mass’ web3 native user base, making it easy to implement dShares™ without having to change anything else about the user experience.

The partnership between Mass and Dinari shows what’s possible when great design meets compliance-first real-world asset infrastructure. By integrating Dinari's dShares and USD+, Mass made it easy for their users to access tokenized US equities—seamlessly, securely, and without borders.
